New Flat Possession in Noida: Furniture Checklist Before You Move In

Getting the keys to a new flat in Noida is exciting, and the furniture plan is easier when it follows the right order: measure, wait for the dust work to finish, order the essentials first, then add the rest. This checklist covers the sequence and timing only. At Golden Paradise Furniture & Interiors every sofa model can be custom-sized to your measured walls, usually in about 7 working days. All products are 30% off with free delivery across India.

A fabric double bed: beds are usually the first furniture to order for a new flat

Step 1: Measure during the possession visit

1. Rooms: length and width of every room at floor level.

2. Openings: main door, bedroom doors, balcony doors and the lift door and cabin.

3. Fixed points: windows, switchboards, AC points, and where wardrobes or kitchen units will go.

4. Photos: take a photo of each wall so you remember where sockets and windows are.

Check the snag list with your builder at the same visit. Furniture is easier to place once damp patches, tiles and fittings are sorted.

Step 2: Finish dust work before furniture arrives

Painting, polishing, carpentry for wardrobes and kitchen fitting create dust and fumes. Plan for upholstered furniture to arrive after this work is done, so fabric stays clean. If your society has rules for interior work and deliveries, ask the maintenance office about permitted hours and lift booking.

Step 3: Order in this sequence

1. Kitchen first: fit your modular kitchen and interiors before furniture arrives, so the dust work is done.

2. Beds and mattresses: you need to sleep on the first night. Browse our solid wood beds.

3. Seating: a sofa sized to your living room wall. If guests will stay, consider a sofa cum bed.

4. Dining: a table that leaves space to pull chairs out.

5. Side tables, storage and extras: add these after a few weeks, once you know how you use each room.

For prices by room, see our separate 2BHK furniture cost guide. This checklist does not repeat those numbers.

Step 4: Plan the delivery day

• Book the lift if your society asks for it.

• Clear the route from the lift to each room.

• Keep the floor protected if the tiles are new.

• Check each item against your order before the team leaves.
