Even an upholstered bed has visible frame parts, and their finish decides how the bed looks after a few years. The two common finishes are PU polish and laminate. Here is the difference. Delivery is free across India.

PU polish vs laminate at a glance


  • PU polish: liquid coating, tough and repairable.

  • Laminate: printed sheet glued on, can peel at edges.

  • Repair: PU can be re-polished; laminate cannot.

Why finish matters in Indian weather


Humidity in the monsoon can get under laminate edges and lift them. A well applied PU polish seals the surface. Our upholstered bed pages list a queen size of 6x5 ft and a king size of 6x6 ft, an 18 inch depth, a 4 ft headboard height, an 18mm Indian plywood frame with PU polish and washable 220 gsm suede upholstery. The mattress is not included.


Caring for a PU finish


  • Dust weekly with a soft cloth.

  • Wipe spills quickly.

  • Keep the bed out of strong direct sun.

  • What is the difference between PU polish and laminate on a bed? PU (polyurethane) polish is a liquid coating applied to the surface and cured to a tough finish. Laminate is a printed sheet glued onto the board.

  • Which finish lasts longer? A good PU polish resists scratches and moisture well and can be re-polished. Laminate is hard-wearing but can peel at edges if moisture gets in, and cannot be re-polished.

  • What finish do your upholstered beds have? Our upholstered bed pages list PU polish on an 18mm Indian plywood frame.

  • Is PU polish safe for bedrooms? Once fully cured, PU polish is commonly used on home furniture. Air the room for a day after delivery if you notice any smell.

  • How do I clean a PU polished bed? Wipe with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.

How to start a return

Return shipping cost

For accepted returns, return shipping is free. A prepaid return label is included in the package.

Refunds

After we receive and inspect the returned item, approved refunds are processed within 7 days to the original payment method. Banking times may add a few more days before the amount appears.

Condition

Items must be unused and in the condition received, with proof of purchase.

Warranty

All furniture also carries a 1-year warranty for manufacturing / workmanship defects under normal household use. Warranty details are in Store Policies.

Not covered as a return

Change of mind, incorrect assembly by the customer, normal wear, and other exclusions listed under Warranty / Store Policies.
